Announcing Open Book Day 2024

Places of Sanctuary Ireland and UNHCR Ireland are inviting all schools, universities and colleges across Ireland to celebrate refugees in our places of education on Thursday February 22^nd 2024. 

Open Book Day will be a national day of action and solidarity- one that sends a vital message of welcome to those seeking sanctuary in our education systems. ‘Open Book’ Day will reaffirm the power of education to give hope and opportunity to those who must restart their lives in a new country. 

In the spirit of this celebration and solidarity, we willbe hosting event/s on February 22 2024 on this theme as part of Refugee Week (Feb 19-24) - details to follow.
