UCC attends inaugural HEI Carers Network Conference
University College Cork was represented at the inaugural HEI Carers Network Conference on 10th June by Pat Rice, Niamh Kiely, and Peter Gosnell. With over 600,000 family carers in Ireland, building a carer-inclusive higher education sector is essential for widening participation, supporting staff and student wellbeing, and creating more equitable HE environments.

The ENGAGE Digital scheme welcomes applications from women and underrepresented genders, working in academic, research, technical, or professional support roles across the university, who are early or mid-career staff currently not in a leadership or management position.

Visit by the Nagle Education Alliance
On Tuesday 28 April, the EDI Office and the Chaplaincy welcomed the 2026 Nagle Educational Alliance of Australia (NEAA) Pilgrims and their spiritual companion, Sr. Anne Nevin PBVM from Dublin, to UCC. The pilgrims were hosted at the Chaplaincy by Rev. Alan Marley. The purpose of their visit to UCC was to view the portrait of Nano Nagle, which is hanging in the Aula Maxima as part of UCC's Women on Walls initiative.
