Transition Year Week 2022
Following a cancellation of the week last year due to covid restrictions, we are happy to say that the Physics Department transition year programme went ahead this year and it was as fun as ever!
The week consisted of students attending the department in a group from Monday 21st February to Friday 25th February and included:
- attending lectures from physics researchers
- hands-on lab experiments
- tours of research labs and facilities, UCC campus and more
- working in a group to develop your own physics projects
- ....and all your physics questions answered! (Where does gravity come from? Can we simulate the entire universe? Will we ever be able to teleport?)
For any queries regarding this Physics event, please contact Aileen McCarthy/Nini Schwart (Job-share) at physics@ucc.ie.
