Celebrating 175 Years of Physics at University College Cork!
On 29th of November, we celebrated the 175th anniversary of the School of Physics with a special commemorative event.
The highlights included a panel discussion with distinguished Physics graduates and the planting of an Irish Rowan Tree at the Observatory to honour generations of staff and students. Talks from university experts on the rich history of UCC Physics were accompanied by an archival display of artefacts.
For 175 years, the study of physics has transformed society, and it is inspiring to see UCC Physics continuing to lead the way in future scientific and technological advancements.
