Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow, Department of Early & Medieval Irish

The Department of Early and Medieval Irish invites applications for the above fixed-term post, tenable for the academic year 2008-9, with the possibility of renewal up to June 2011. The appointee will be expected to contribute to undergraduate teaching in Early and Medieval Irish and Celtic Civilisation, and to participate in departmental activities, as directed by the Head of Department.

A PhD in the area of Early and Medieval Irish/Celtic Studies, with demonstrable language attainment, is the main requirement of the post. Ability to teach through the medium of Modern Irish will be considered an advantage. There are no specific research duties attached to the post, but the appointee will be expected to be research-active in the discipline.

The salary entry point is €38,870.
