Dance and Music with the Cork Sanctuary Singers Youth Choir (CSSYC) and the Cork Migrant Dance Group (CMC Dancers) with Andrea Williams
CSSYC is a youth choir ranging in ages from three to fifteen with about twelve members from all acros the world. Emma Greenough, MA Ethnomusicology, is the director, with help from accompanists Maria McGuinness and Sofya. The newly formed choir is very much looking forwad to sharing their voices in Cork this spring! The CSSYC will be singing a range of children's songs:
- This Little Light of Mine (Trad. Spiritual)
- O Be Joyful, O Be Jubilant (Composed by Natalie Sleeth)
- Sing! Sing a song (Words and Music by Joe raposo)
- Count on Me (Words and music by Philip Lawrence, Ari levine and Bruno Mars)
- O, How Lovely is the evening (arr. John Feieraband)
Cork Migrant Dance group (CMC Dancers) have been dancing together for two years now, in the Cork migrant Centre at Nano Nagle place. Under the guidance of dancer and choreographer Andrea Williams and local DJ Stevie G, they have performed at loads of big events including Africa Day, Culture Night, Food without Borders, UCC Science Week and many more.
