International Day of Persons with Disabilities in UCC
UCC marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd with inspiring and informative talks and events.
To mark December 3rd the Disability Service in collaboration with several colleagues ran a number of talks during the International Week of Persons with Disabilities (November 29th – December 3rd), covering topics such as:
- Managing an Aquired Disability during Education
- Supporting Students with Specific Learning Difficulties &
- Yout Mental Health

Also in recognition of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, UCC Academy hosted Elena Canty BBus (Honours), MA (Public Relations with New Media) and Communications Executive at Event Plan, who joined Dr Avril Hutch, EDI Director UCC and Shay Nolan, Employment Project Manager, UCC DSS, to share her lived experience of disability in the workplace.
