Government signs PPP agreement to deliver 14 new primary care centres

The Irish government has selected UK builder Prime Balfour Beatty to design, construct, finance and maintain 14 new primary healthcare centres across the country. The centres will provide hundreds of jobs across the country in the design, construction and operation stages.
Healthcare services at the new facilities will be managed by the Health Services Executive. This is the first time that a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement has been used in the healthcare sector in Ireland. The centres are also financially supported by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI).
