Engineering & Technology Degree Course Applications up 9% in 2015

The Central Applications Office has released a breakdown of 2015 applications to third level courses in Ireland, showing strong increases in applications to Engineering, Technology and Architecture degree programmes.
Overall, 6,384 first preference applications were made to Engineering and Technology courses, up over 9% on 2014. The increase reflects the strong employment prospects for graduates in the sector. Over 35,000 applications were made to Engineering and Technology course when all applicant preferences were counted.
