Civil Engineering Student wins Science & Engineering Graduate of the Year

Gemma Cremin, Civil Engineering graduate of 2014, was conferred with the UCC College of Science, Engineering & Food Science Graduate of the Year Award by Professor Paul Ross, Head of Science, Engineering & Food Science, at a prize-giving ceremony held in Aula Maxima, UCC, today.
Gemma graduated top of her Civil Engineering Degree class and is now pursuing a PhD at Stanford University. The ceremony was attended by members of academic staff, other UCC Quercus Scholarship awardees, including Charles-Geoffrey Piron (BE Civil Engineering III), and their parents. Prof. John O'Halloran, Vice-President of UCC for Teaching & Learning, commended all the winners for their commitment to Science and Technology and wished them well in their future careers.
