Contracts Signed for Seven Courthouse Construction Projects

700 new construction and civil engineering jobs will result from today's signing of a contract to procure three new courthouses and refurbish four others.
The total value of the project is €135 million and construction is expected to start early in 2017. The new courthouses will be built in Limerick, Drogheda and Letterkenny, with refurbishments in Cork, Waterford, Wexford and Dublin. The project is evidence of increased public procurement of infrastructure, which is also indicated by the increase in demand for qualified Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineers as well as Architects.
