Women in Leadership Series: Marguerite Sayers, Deputy CEO, ESB

Professor Ursula Kilkelly, Head, College of Business and Law and Professor Sarah Culloty, Head, College of Science, Engineering and Food Science recently hosted a special talk by Marguerite Sayers, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, ESB in conversation with Professor Ciara Heavin, Cork University Business School, UCC
The event took place in UCC's Hub Building and forms part of a series of conversations with women in public life exploring their leadership and impact.
Marguerite Sayers was appointed Deputy CEO of the ESB Group in July 2022, at a time of great change, as the energy sector confronts the challenges of decarbonisation, security and affordability.
Marguerite graduated with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from UCC in 1991 and has worked for ESB since she graduated holding leadership positions.
In May 2019 she became the 127th President of Engineers Ireland, being the fourth woman to hold this position.
