Johnson and Johnson visit and Guest Lecture
We were delighted to welcome representatives from the Janssen Pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson to UCC recently to learn more about the latest teaching and research activities at the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS).
The group also enjoyed a tour of the Process Engineering labs and Process Hall including the Bioprocessing facility, in addition to a tour of UCC's beautiful campus.
Mr Jean-Pol Gossuin, MAM Large Molecule Platform Lead at Janssen delivered a fascinating guest lecture to some of our Engineering students which was kindly arranged by Dr Kevin Cronin, School of Engineering & Architecture, UCC.
We are extremely grateful to Janssen, and Johnson & Johnson for their continued support over the years.
Attendees from Janssen included:
- Jean-Pol Gossuin – MAM Large Molecule Platform Lead (Senior Director) overall responsibility for the platform MAM scope.
- Alan Bateman – MAM Site Lead, Cork (Director); overall responsibility for the Cork site MAM scope.
- Paula O’Driscoll – MAM Platform Engineer (Director) – Strategic Technologies. Scope of Digital, Data, technologies.
- Mark Collins - MAM Platform Engineer (Director) – MAM Processes, standards.
- Karen Hennessey - MAM Platform Engineer (Director) – Project Planning & financing, PES (Product External Supply).
MAM = Make Asset Management. This covers the full scope and ownership related to all physical and manufacturing systems assets (exiting and future plan). Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems.
