School of BEES graduate Erin O'Driscoll wins ESAI award

Congratulations to Environmental Sciences (School of Biological Earth and Environmental Sciences) graduate Erin O’Driscoll who was awarded the prize for best ESAI Level 8 Undergraduate project of the Year 2021/22 by the Environmental Science Association of Ireland (ESAI).
The award celebrates excellence in the area of environmental research at undergraduate level. Erin’s project was on the “Spatiotemporal Risk Assessment of Nitrate in Irish Groundwater”, and was supervised by Dr Jean O'Dwyer.
The Environmental Sciences Association of Ireland (ESAI) is an association of individuals working in or with an interest in the environmental area in Ireland. Their aim is to facilitate communication and interaction between persons interested in the environment through colloquia, seminars, workshops and publications.
Since its inception the association has been strongly connected with the Irish environmental research community and organises the largest annual environmental research conference in Ireland, the Irish Environmental Researchers Colloquium or ENVIRON conference. This is the association’s main networking event each year.
