UCC STEM researchers on Clarivate's Highly Cited List

The Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers List 2022 has been announced with a strong presence from College of Science, Engineering and Food Science researchers again this year. Congratulations to these academics who are in the top 1% of researchers in the world by citation - we are proud of your achievements.
A total of 9 out of the 14 UCC researchers featured are from the College of Science, Enginering and Food Science. The researchers are based at APC Microbiome Ireland (APC), a world-leading Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre based in UCC.
The annual list features the researchers in the top 1% of the Web of Science citation index and recognises pioneers in their field whose citation records position them in the very highest strata of research influence and impact. UCC has the highest number for any Irish university on the list (14 out of 35 Irish researchers listed) with Harvard University again named the top-performing institution globally, with 233 researchers making the list.
