Quercus University Scholar - Ciara Millerick, College of Science, Engineering and Food Science

Ciara Millerick is this year’s recipient of the Science, Engineering and Food Science Quercus University Scholarship, awarded for academic excellence in her examination results.
Ciara is currently in her final year of the BSc Chemistry degree at UCC. She enrolled as a Biological and Chemical Science student and has previously been awarded the Eli Lilly Chemistry Prize for her academic achievement in chemistry. She went on to specialise in the Chemistry degree stream and has undertaken the PepsiCo Mentorship programme in her second year, and completed an internship in Pfizer, Ringaskiddy in 2022.
She is a committee member of the Chemical Society and regularly assists in the organisation of academic and social events for UCC students to help spread her passion for chemistry. Ciara has a keen interest in organic, analytical and environmental chemistry and has a great love of music.
The Quercus Talented Students' Programme is a scholarship programme that supports and promotes excellence in academia, sport, creative and performing arts, active citizenship and innovation/entrepreneurship.
Congratulations to Ciara on this achievement.
