EAS Meeting 2025 came to a close last Friday, 27th June 2025.
Over 1,500 astronomers from 60 different countries descended on University College Cork from June 23rd to 27th for what was the largest conference ever held in Cork. With over 1,200 presentations spread over 5 days and 7 different buildings, the conference was a huge success, placing UCC at the heart of astronomy for the week.
We would like to thank those from UCC Physics - Dr. Mark Kennedy, Professor Paul Callanan and Dr. Michael Tremmel for their trojan work along with EAS Organisers and their partner Kuoni Tumlare Congress, as well as all the other University contacts across Ireland who supported the event.
Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD, opened the EAS Meeting in Cork this year. Click the video below to see how it went and check out the following EAS website for further info on the week's activities!
