Applications are invited from suitably qualified members of staff for the 1-year contract post of Senior ExecutivAssistant Student Recruitment Programme, Admissions Office.
The appointee will be expected to provide administrative/secretarial assistance to the Schools Liaison Officer. Principal duties and responsibilities associated with the Student Recruitment Programme include:
·Provision of organisational and administrative support for major University events such as:
oUCC Summer Academy
oOpen Days
oGuidance Counsellors Conference
oParents’ Evenings
oWomen in Science and Engineering (WISE) Programme
·Assistance with the School Visits Programme
·Attendance at Careers Exhibitions
·Maintenance of Working with Schools and Admissions Office websites
·Maintenance of accurate records for the Student Recruitment Programme
·Such other duties as assigned by the Deputy Admissions Officer
Candidates should have experience at Executive Assistant level and will have been appointed via the Executive Assistant panel. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer, web-page management and communication skills. Administrative experience is essential and experience of dealing with students is required. S/he will need to be highly motivated, possess initiative and be capable of working as part of a team.
The appointee must demonstrate proven organisational skills.
A clean, full driving licence and use of a car are essential.
Salary: €29,625 - €43,533 (new entrants)
