Manager, Department of Management & Marketing

Applications are invited from suitability qualified members of staff for the above opportunity. This is a 10 month temporary position commencing on 24 September 2007 until 31 July 2008.

The Department Manager will manage and provide support services for the Department of Management and Marketing, a core department in the College of Business and Law. The appointee will be responsible for managing student services and external linkages. Specifically the person appointed will have responsibility for developing and fostering linkages with industry and working with staff of the Department to develop initiatives, including post-experience education.

The successful candidate will be an existing UCC staff member of graduate calibre and will have at least 5 years administrative/supervisory experience (preferably combining business experience with experience of an educational/research environment at third level).S/he will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal and computer skills and proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team.A university degree or equivalent, together with previous supervisory experience, would be an advantage.

Please note that it is expected interviews will take place during the week of 10 September 2007.

Salary scale [new entrants]: €47,809 - €57,429
