Assistant Internal Auditor, Internal Audit (1-Year Contract)
University College Cork invites applications from existing members of staff for the post of Assistant Internal Auditor. This post is a contract administrative position for a twelve month period.
The successful candidate will be a committed professional who will support the work of the Head of Internal Audit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and performing a range of audit tasks including reviews of operational, financial and compliance issues across all areas of the university.
Candidates should preferably be members of a recognised accountancy body and/or a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and have recent audit experience at a senior level of responsibility. Relevant experience of the University and/or public sector would be an advantage.
The ability to communicate effectively is an essential requirement for this post and strong report writing skills are required. Candidates should possess excellent inter personal skills; be self-motivated and capable of working on their own initiative. The successful candidate will display a high level of professionalism and sound judgement and possess the confidence and ability to influence people and work at all levels in the university. An awareness of emerging issues with the ability to adapt to the changing operating environment of the sector and provide advice, guidance and innovative solutions where required will be necessary.
Salary scales: Appointment will be within the following salary scales, depending on qualifications and experience:
€43,232 - €51,934 (Scale A) €45,507 - €54,663 (Scale B)
