The person appointed to this senior academic post will be expected to contribute to the teaching and research work in the Department of Education and to the development of new curricular and research initiatives.

The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in education or a cognate area and shall have a significant record of achievement in developing and leading programmes in a university education department.   S/he will have an established academic profile with a substantial record of achievement in the field of teacher education and/or education studies, including research and peer-reviewed publications that will complement the existing strengths of the Department.

Salary scale [new entrants]:  €68,327 – €96,813
