PhD Fellowship - Development of a range of consumer acceptable, convenience-style, retortable seafood products using novel laminated packaging materials.

Applications are sought for a 2 year Masters Studentship, with a possibility to extend to a Ph.D, to conduct scientific research to “Develop a range of consumer acceptable, convenience-style, retortable seafood products using novel laminated packaging materials”. The successful applicant will be located in the research group (food packaging) of Dr. Joe Kerry, University College Cork and the research project will be conducted in collaboration with William Carr & Sons Limited, Curraglass, Mallow, Co. Cork. Ireland.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated students with good academic credentials and a strong interest in sensory/consumer and product development work.Candidates should have good practical and analytical skills and must hold a Bachelors (or Masters) degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
