Food Safety Internship

University College Cork (UCC), in association with safefood, has a vacancy for a Food Safety Internship.

safe food is one of the North South Implementation Bodies set up under the Belfast Agreement.

The Intership Programme will be based on the assignment of tasks on Food Safety topics selected by safefood and designated staff members at UCC.The Programme will also include elements of personal and career development.

Typically, interns will have a postgraduate qualification in one or more of the following disciplines:

Food microbiology/chemistry/toxicology, environmental health, health promotion/education, epidemiology disease surveillance, public health, veterinary public health, food technology, nutrition/dietetics, social marketing, social/behavioural sciences and communications.

The duration of the Internship will be a minimum of two years but not more than three years.
Salary will be commensuarate with qualifications at MSc or PhD level.
