Outing the Past LGBTQ+ History Festival, 1st and 2nd March, 2019

All are very welcome to Cork’s first ever LGBTQ* History festival, taking place this weekend (1st & 2nd March) and organised by Cork Gay Project.

The OUTing the Past history festival will be launched by Senator David Norris at 6.30pm on Friday in the Gay Project centre, 4 South Terrace. On Saturday, talks and short films will be hosted at Millennium Hall in Cork City Hall from 10.30am-4pm. UCC History’s Dr Diarmuid Scully will be chairing a session on Cork LGBT community activism and the Cork Folklore Project’s LGBT collection, and there will also be panels on Irish student LGBT activism, the struggle for LGBT rights in Northern Ireland, and international issues.
