Professor Geoffrey Roberts elected a Member of the Royal Irish Academy

Professor Geoffrey Roberts has been elected a Member of the Royal Irish Academy. 

Election to the Academy is considered Ireland's highest academic honour. Professor Roberts has published 30 books and more than 100 scholarly articles,many in languages other than English. He joins a distinguished list of UCC historians who are or were Members of the RIA, including Joe Lee, Dermot Keogh, Donnchadh Ó Corráin and the late Jennifer O'Reilly. Geoff has worked at UCC for nearly 25 years, teaching Soviet and Russian history, International History and International Relations.
