Postgraduate Scholarships

The School of History hopes to offer the following scholarships and grants during the academic year 2014/15. Open link to access full list. 

Postgraduate Scholarships/Grants in the School of History for 2014/15

Diarmuid Whelan Memorial PhD Scholarship ( for 3^rd and 4^th year PhD Students 2014/15 – Modern History, Politics or International Relations).  €5,000 – one year.

History Tutorial Scholarships (Registered Full-Time Research Students 2014/15).  Up to €5,000 – one year.

History Masters Bursaries (1^st year MA/MRes Students 2014/15).  Up to €1,000, competitive awards based on BA results.

History Postgraduate Travel Grants, (Research Students).  Max €500/student to cover assistance toward travel and accommodation expenses for postgraduate research.

History Hourly Paid Tutors – a number of tutoring positions will be offered as required by the School.  Paid on an hourly basis.

Glucksman Fund Travel Grant Scheme. (Registered Research Students who intend travelling to the USA during Spring/Summer 2015 to conduct Research).  Up to €1,000 grants.
