Student Bridge Designs on Display

Three innovative low-cost bridges, designed and constructed by final year BE Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering students are currently on display around UCC.
The students were given a design brief to construct a 10 metre span bridge for less than €500. Three student groups tackled the brief with enthusiasm, resulting in three striking and very different designs. The bridges can be viewed for a limited time in the lower grounds of UCC near the Glucksman Gallery and in the Kane Building.
