Job opportunities in the civil engineering and construction sector are on the increase, according to Ulster Bank's two key indicators of activity in the sector. Ulster Bank's chief economist Simon Barry, reported in thejournal.ie, said the industry's employment index has hit a 10-year high, which showed the pace of hiring was increasing for construction jobs. The bank also calculates an index of purchasing manager's activity which reached its second highest level since records began in 2000. The bank's survey of industry outlook also revealed that there was a very positive sentiment towards further recruitment in the next 12 months.
