Multi-million bridge over N40 to provide access to Tramore Valley Park

A new pedestrian bridge is to be constructed over the N40 Cork South Ring to connect Tramore Valley Park with the neighbouring suburbs of Douglas and Frankfield.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) has approved funds to enable design works for the combined pedestrian and cycle bridge to be completed this year, according to the Evening Echo. Tramore Valley Park is a major amenity development being undertaken by Cork City Council on the site of the former landfill at Kinsale Road. When complete, the park will have indoor and outdoor adventure play facilities.
