Construction 2020 Strategy for Social Housing and Job Growth Released
2 Jun 2015

The Government has released its 'Construction 2020' strategy outlining a €3.8 Billion budget for social housing generating 60,000 jobs.
Alan Kelly, Minister for the Environment, Community & Local Government stated "the overriding aim of Construction 2020 is to provide homes for our people by tripling housing output by 2020 and, in the process, adding 60,000 jobs to the construction and engineering sector over the same period. Increasing supply will also address rising house prices and building homes creates jobs."
