350 Construction Jobs in new Cork Docklands Development

O'Callaghan Properties has secured approval from Cork City Council for the largest-ever city centre office development in Cork, which will house up to 3,000 workers.
Construction of the facility at Navigation Square, Albert Quay, in Cork's historic docklands area, will create 350 jobs and has a projected budget of €90m. It is further evidence of the upturn in construction and civil engineering activity in southwestern Ireland, and will further increase the demand for Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering graduates from the region's top-ranked Civil Engineering programme in University College Cork.
The building will be designed to the Gold LEED energy efficiency standard, which will increase its attractiveness for international blue-chip clients. Architects Henry J. Lyons have been engaged by the developer to create the building design.
