David Latten Social Impact Award

Three students from the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science have been awarded the inaugural David Latten Social Impact Award which is funded by Logitech.
- Erika Slattery - €1,500 (first prize)
- Jacqueline Osei - €750 (second prize)
- Rosie Deasy - €750 (second prize)
In July 2023, the David Latten Social Impact Award was established by the Logitech Cares Fund, a fund of Tides Foundation to celebrate the life of David Latten.
David Latten was Head of Global Indirect Procurement and Supplier Diversity at Logitech.
David was known to colleagues as someone who worked to make a difference every day, and was a passionate champion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) in his role of supply chain management and beyond.
In line with David’s work with the Coalition for Gender Fair Procurement and Diversity Equity and Inclusion, the David Latten Social Impact Awards aim to champion equity in supply chain management.
The awardees exhibited awareness of supply chains - using vaccines and labs, respectively, as their examples and how it relates to their studies and future career plans.
