Quercus Entrance Scholarships

Congratulations to our College of Science, Engineering and Food Science students who were awarded Quercus Entrance Scholarships at a special ceremony in Devere Hall, UCC on 19 January.
A total of 239 Entrance Scholarships were awarded, of these, 200 students achieved a maximum score of 625 Leaving Certificate points.
In addition to the 218 Quercus Entrance Scholarships,
- 10 students received the BEd Gaeilge scholarship
- 7 students received the Mary Ryan Language Scholarship
- 6 students received the Keliher Entrance Scholarship
- 2 students received the Kavanagh Celtic Civilization Scholarship
- Students represent 115 schools in Ireland and one school in Poland
Dr Jennifer Murphy delivered the Opening Address and Professor John O’Halloran, President, delivered the Welcome Address.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Quercus Talented scholars: Annie Madden and Nick Cotter. Music was provided by Quercus Talented scholars: Iona Ritchie and Ruby Falvey.
We are very proud of the achievements of our students and wish them the best as they continue their studies with us at the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science
