Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships

The recipients of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Fellowships (IF) grants have been announced by the European Commission.

Congratulations to all our colleagues from the College of SEFS.

Prof Colin Hill, APC/CoMH and Professor in the School of Microbiology UCC.

Dr Tim O’Sullivan, Pharmacy & Chemistry CoMH/SEFS. Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the School of Pharmacy/Department of Chemistry.

Prof Eoin O’Reilly, Chief Scientist at Tyndall and has held a joint appointment with the Department of Physics in University College Cork since 2007.

Dr Mark Jessopp, Lecturer in Zoology in the School of Biological, Earth & Environmental Science, UCC.

Dr Michelle Cronin, MaREI/ERI/SEFS, leads the Marine Ecology Group of the Coastal & Marine Research Centre in UCC.

Dr Daniela Iacopino, Tyndall/SEFS, staff researcher in the Nanotechnology group of the Tyndall National Institute.

With finance totalling €328 million, the EU will support 1,630 experienced post-doctoral researchers working at top universities and research organisations in Europe and the rest of the world, as well as in the private sector and SMEs.

The College of SEFS is delighted to announce that UCC submitted 54 applications to the 2020 call: 7 were successful and 3 are on reserve list.

UCC's success rate in this call is 13%, above the national rate of 12%.
