26 students received awards at the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science (SEFS) Awards Ceremony last Friday, 31st March 2017.
Professor Paul Ross, Head of College of SEFS, commended all the scholarship students and graduates and presented the awards to all, including the SEFS Graduate of the Year 2016, Seán Whelan, who graduated with a first class BSc Honours in Neuroscience and the Runner-Up, Alex Lonergan, who graduated with a BSc Honours in Chemical Physics. In making these two awards, the academic achievements as well as the recipients’ “full participation” in UCC life were considered.
Undergraduate Quercus College Scholarships were also presented to students based on their academic performance in their 2016 examinations.
