The College of Medicine and Health will host our Annual Research Conference on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026.

The 2026 theme, Advancing Health: Translating Discovery to Care, reflects the College’s shared ambition to ensure that research excellence informs clinical practice, shapes policy, and delivers meaningful impact for patients and communities.

The conference will showcase a diverse range of research and innovation activity from across the College in partnership with a diverse range of internal and external collaborators that is addressing complex health challenges across the translational research spectrum in the areas that include Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical & Healthcare Sciences and Population Health Sciences including Health Services Research. 

Much of this research is conducted in partnership with clinical colleagues and healthcare organisations from across the region, demonstrating the strength of our integrated research environment and our collective commitment to advancing health through collaboration and the development of an Academic Health Sciences System.

The conference provides an important opportunity to:

• Showcase research excellence from across the College including selected Oral Presentations
• Poster Presentations
• Highlight interdisciplinary collaboration
• Strengthen partnerships with clinical and community colleagues
• Network with peers and spark new ideas
• Celebrate the impact of our collective work

As the first major academic gathering of CoMH's 2026/27 academic year, the Research Conference is a valuable opportunity to bring colleagues together, foster new collaborations, and set an ambitious and energising tone for the year ahead.
