Lunchtime Lecture: Understanding Why Editors Reject Papers
Stuart Spencer, former senior executive editor of The Lancet Journal
Please join us in person in Brookfield on Wednesday 11 September from 1 - 2 pm for this insightful lunchtime lecture from Stuart Spencer, former senior executive editor of The Lancet Journal.
Professor Spencer joined The Lancet in 1999 as the Fast Track editor that aims to select, review and publish prestigious manuscripts from all aspects on medicine within 4 weeks of receipt.
Before joining The Lancet he was a full-time researcher leading various research teams. His research interests have covered: scoliosis, growth, neuroendocrinology, fetal development and bioethics. He has held posts both in academia and industry in UK, Netherland, Switzerland, Belgium and New Zealand. He has also had visiting professorships at King’s College, London and Hong Kong University, and a doctorate of medicine from Umea University, Sweden.
