Marking the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War

Prof Geoffrey Roberts marks the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War on the anniversaries of Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May 1945 and the end of Russia's Great Patriotic War on 9 May 1945.

On Thursday evening, 6 May, Prof Geoff Roberts was interviewed live from his UCC office by RT's In the Now news show
- On Friday, 7 May, an episode of RT's Crosstalk called 'Remembering Victory' in which Geoff participated was broadcast
- The news agency 'Russia Beyond the Headlines' has published an interview with Geoff about Stalin and the war in its special supplement for the internatiional edition of the New York Times
- Meanwhile, Geoff's feature on the Second World War published in Saturday's Irish Examiner has been translated and published in French online
