FILM ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT UCC
The Arts Council and University College Cork invite applications from film artists of distinction for the role of Film Artist in Residence at UCC for the calendar year 2023.
The Film Artist in Residence, based in the School of Film, Music and Theatre, is designed to provide a film artist with a unique opportunity to develop their practice in a university environment while offering students of film and screen media the opportunity to engage with a practising artist in a meaningful way during the course of their studies.

UCC celebrates a decade of friendship with a Hollywood legend

Lord David Puttnam, the Oscar-winning producer of films including Chariots of Fire, The Mission, The Killing Fields, and Midnight Express recently celebrated ten years of his Skibbereen-based company Atticus Education. The pioneering organisation was set up to teach creativity and innovation to students across the world and University College Cork (UCC) was one of the first universities to come on board.

UCC School of Film, Music and Theatre is delighted to announce that the inaugural Danijela Kulezic-Wilson Undergraduate Award for Exceptional Innovation in Research has been made to final-year Music student, Gormfhlaith Ní Shíocháin Ní Bheoláin, for her final-year Major Study work 'Field, Foinn agus Feadóga. An album of John Field's compositions for piano and Irish traditional tunes on the tin whistle.’
