The second concert of the Spring season sees the welcome return of ‘angel voice’ Sue Rynhart, who will be joined this time by acclaimed double bassist Dan Bodwell.

Dublin vocalist and composer Sue Rynhart’s debut album, Crossings, was nominated 'Best Jazz Album' in the Irish Times Ticket Awards 2014, and her 2017 album release, Signals, has received critical acclaim from publications and radio including, All About Jazz, The Irish Times, Folk Radio UK, RTÉ & BBC Radio, RTS Radio Slovenia & Salt Peanuts Scandinavia. Sue has performed her songs at many Irish and international festivals including the Jazz Chileuropa Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival and Jazzycolors Festival Paris.

 

Daniel Bodwell studied classical double bass at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and jazz double bass at the Hochschule für Künste, Bremen. He is a founder member of the New York based Micah Gaugh Trio with Kevin Shea. He has performed with Mary Coughlan, the Nigel Mooney Quartet, the Francesco Turrisi Trio, Julie Feeney, Jerry Fish, De Dannan, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra, Quiet Music Ensemble and Crash Ensemble.
