Advanced Anatomical Skills 2017-2018 – Another successful year!

22 Jan 2018

In 2013, the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience launched its AN3000 – Advanced Anatomical Skills module to complement its anatomy teaching to medical students. The course, offered as a student-selected module, allows students to appreciate Anatomy in a non-pressurised manner and is ideal for students with an interest in surgery, radiology or other anatomically-oriented disciplines of medicine.

The 2017-2018 delivery saw 6 students plan and prepare high quality teaching cadaveric specimens. In addition, to offering a consolidation of the students’ anatomical knowledge, the module provided them with a unique perspective in the tri-dimensional relationship of tissues and organs within the human body.
