Prof. John Cryan, First Irish President of European Behavioural Pharmacology Society
Professor John Cryan, Head of Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience and Principal Investigator in the APC Microbiome Institute has been selected to be the new President of European Behavioural Pharmacology Society (EBPS) at its biennial meeting held in Heraklion, Crete this weekend.
EBPS is an international society at the crossroads of pharmacology, experimental psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience. Prof Cryan is the first Irish President of the society since its inception over 30 years ago. “I look forward to these two years” Prof Cryan said. “I am very fortunate to follow in the footsteps of amazing scientists who have served as President. One of the goals of my tenure is to broaden the membership base and increase the global reach of the society especially among early-career neuroscientists”.
