UCC Dietetic Students Awarded Prestigious Community Scholarships

Six MSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics students at University College Cork have been awarded full scholarships to cover their tuition fees, thanks to a generous €110,442 donation from the Community Nutrition & Dietetic Service, Cork and Kerry.
The scholarships aim to inspire and equip the next generation of dietitians to become leaders in community and primary care. Awarded through a competitive process involving an essay and interview, the initiative removes the financial burden of tuition, enabling students to fully engage in their academic and clinical training.
Dr. Majella O’Keeffe, Director of the MSc Dietetics Programme, shared:
“This initiative strengthens the vital connection between community healthcare and academic training. We’re proud to support the development of dietitians who will drive meaningful health improvements in our communities.”
By investing in dietetic education, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare is helping to shape a healthier future—empowering students to contribute meaningfully to nutrition and public health at a community level.
We congratulate the six recipients, whose commitment and potential represent the bright future of dietetics in Ireland:
