Kevin Martin Awarded Prestigious IEEE APS Fellowship 2025
Kevin Martin, PhD student at UCC's School of Engineering and Architecture and Tyndall National Institute, has been awarded the 2025 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS) Fellowship.
Kevin is supervised by Professor Dimitra Psychogiou. His project, titled “Adaptive In-Band Full-Duplex Solution Using Bandpass Filter-based RF Cancellers and Antenna-based Techniques for Self-Interference Cancellation (BASIC)”, will explore innovative design and integration concepts for RF front-end cancellers.
This research aims to achieve high levels of miniaturisation and agility—critical for enabling the next generation of 6G in-band full-duplex systems and beyond.
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world's largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, particularly in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and related disciplines.
The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) programme promotes areas of interest to AP-S among graduate students and postdoctoral fellows worldwide to facilitate their career pursuit in these areas.
