Dr Lekha Menon Margassery receives award from Indian community in Ireland
Dr Lekha Menon Margassery, School of Microbiology has been awarded the Person of the Year Award from the Confederation of Indian Communities in Ireland.
Lekha was nominated by the Indian community in Cork for her selfless work to the community as a whole. She received the award from the Honorable Ambassador of India to Ireland, Mr. Akhilesh Mishra and Senator Emer Currie at a special event to mark India's 75th Republic Day.
The Confederation of Indian Communities in Ireland (CICI) is a not for profit umbrella organisation embracing various Indian Organisations/Societies. Its constitution also allows membership with limited rights to trade and commerce as Corporate Members, and individuals all over Ireland.
