Pint of Science returns to UCC

This year's Pint of Science festival took place between 9th and 11th May at UCC with a host of speakers from the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS) taking part.
Pint of Science brings some of the most brilliant scientists to local pubs and cafes to discuss their latest research and findings with the public.
The local coodinators were Dr. Lekha Menon Margassery, Technical Officer, School of Microbiology, UCC and Dr. Davide Tiana, Lecturer, School of Chemistry, UCC. Volunteers were: Ms. Manasi Nadkarni, Research Assistant, APC; Mr. Vinay Cheemarla, PhD student, School of Chemistry; Ms. Cristina Cuesta Marti, PhD student, Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience; APC and Dr. Muireann Egan, Communications Officer, Teagasc Food Research Programme.
Speakers from the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science included:
