MaREI launches new podcast series

MaREI, the SFI Research Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine has developed a new podcast series produced and hosted by MaREI researcher Evan Boyle.
The first episode in the series includes insights from science, policy, urban planning and education to highlight the role of cycling in Ireland’s energy transition.
The humble bicycle might have a key role to play in Ireland’s transport system in the future. But how do we get there; What can be learned from other countries? What are the challenges to implementing new transport systems? And what can be done to get young people on their bikes?
Evan Boyle is a postdoctoral researcher at MaREI and the Department of Sociology and Criminology, UCC. His research focuses on community engagement and transdisciplinary approaches to sustainability. Currently, he is investigating community engagement approaches for infrastructure development in both Ireland and Internationally.
