Prof. Barry O'Sullivan to Co-chair the 2021 Global Artificial Intelligence Technology Conference (GAITC)
Professor Barry O'Sullivan, School of Computer Science and Information Technology, and Director of the Insight Centre for Data Analytics at UCC, is to co-chair GAITC, one of the major events organised by the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Association.
Prof. O'Sullivan is one of only two non-Chinese General Chairs for this event. The other is Prof. Michael I. Jordan, the Pehong Chen Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley.
The 2021 GAITC will feature the 1st Global AI Technology Innovation Contest, and the 2021 Global AI Technologies Expo, demonstrating the leading AI products and technologies. The concurrent 6th National AI School Deans Forum and the CAAI Academic Development and Journal Construction Seminar will jointly create a comprehensive platform connecting up the global AI strengths and powers, and showcase cutting-edge intelligent technological innovations, with the aim of promoting technological innovation, application innovation, commercialisation, and industrial chain coordination in the AI arena.
