The Johnson & Johnson WiSTEM2D Programme aims to fuel development of the female STEM2D talent pipeline by awarding and sponsoring women at critical points in their careers, in each of the STEM2D disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design.  This programme was introduced in the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science in UCC in 2018 and has been instrumental in supporting our female students through a range of intiatives including leadership training, mentoring, internships, bursaries, and CV/recuitment clinics.  The WiSTEM2D Scholarships 2019 have just been announced: 2nd year students, please click here for details and an application form, 3rd and 4th year students, please click here.  Please note: the closing date for applications has now passed.




WiSTEM2D 2019 Summer Internships in Ireland for MIT STEM Female Students (Now Closed)

Scholarships for second year students

We are delighted to announce five awards of €3,000 each under the J&J WiSTEM2D programme.  These awards will be presented to second year female students to support their studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing and Design Subjects (STEM2D). The award will be made for one year and will also include opportunities to network within peer group, J&J business leaders, and early career development opportunities including mentoring and a day in the life.

UCC students of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing and Design Subjects entering their second year of studies in the academic year 2018/2019 are eligible to apply. Relevant degree courses are listed below

Eligible students are asked to submit an application form by 31st October. They will be recruited through the WiSTEM2D launch event, SEFS website, School notices and direct emails (sent to students and course directors of relevant degree programmes).
