Over 90 delegates attended The Gathering Travellers in Education – Celebrating Success, Framing the Future on 23 May 2023 at the Kingsley Hotel, Cork. Hosted by the SOAR Project, the event showcased models of best practice, shared research findings, identified outstanding challenges and priority actions to enable further Traveller success in education. Highlights of the day included keynote address from Dr. Hannagh McGinley, (NCCA); passionate discussions with programme participants; a specially-commissioned rap video from Traveller youths and a stirring performance from Steo Wall.
